The General Store

The Village at Lyons is delighted to welcome The General Store by Clodagh to its beautiful estate outside Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

The General Store is an Aladdins cave of all things delicious and useful. From smoked Gubbeen bacon rashers to Donegal tweed rugs to vegetable peelers. The store will offer customers ingredients for cooking a last minute supper or baking that special cake; buying a present for a special occasion; or picking up a newspaper and fresh orange juice on a Sunday morning. The concept of the store is a revitalised one stop corner shop where you can find all that you need for all your wants, and if you don’t we can get it for you!

The store is delighted to announce that it will will continue to stock the jewellery collection by designer Niamh Patten.  The NP2 collection made using 18 carat gold, diamond and vibrant eye-catching stones and crystals.  NP2 collection is designed by Niamh and handmade in Ireland. One off designs are a favourite for Niamh and many of her pieces are commissioned to order. Niamh has over 15 years experience in the jewellery business and is really excited about the new General Store.

Paschal O’Reilly of Design by Renaissance, is one of Ireland’s best kept secrets, even though he has been in the industry for over a decade.

At Design by Renaissance we specialise in turn key projects. What we do best is create atmosphere, settings without having to call on bombastic theories or heavy-handed statements. Paschal uses his imagination to invent surprising compositions. His romantic interiors seem to come about with great spontaneity yet reveal a high degree of virtuosity. Paschal’s interiors have an air of nonchalance. Nobody really cares if subtle crumbles of everyday life are still very much in evidence. Nobody really cares if you happen to spill a few drops of very superior old pale cognac in one of Paschal’s rooms.
